Hi to all my followers, fellow artists and friends, I am looking forward to seeing you in whatever way we may cross paths along the way this year; whether its on social media, art trails, exhibitions, the Peak Village or other venues or places in Derbyshire and other counties. A special hello to any newcomers and subscribers to my website or you tube channel. I am looking forward to connecting with you.
2024 was a fabulous if not very busy year, adding the organisation of Bonsall Art Trail into the mix certainly made it a memorable one. Getting my timetable, aims and aspirations together for the weeks and months to come is only just starting (after all it was a fabulous Christmas and New Year) head down now to get all my ducks in a row.
This year I am continuing with 'The Derbyshire Makers' supporting our fabulous shop in the Peak Village Shopping Centre in Rowsley, which is going from strength to strength. If you haven't managed to get there yet, put it on your list for this year, their are some fabulous artists and makers showing and spotlight artists showing their work in the little gallery throughout the year.
Textiles and stitching are still close to my heart and will be featuring in my mixed media work again this year.. I continue as a member of a stitch collective (based in Scarborough) called Untangled Threads and continue to work collaborating and exhibiting the work in Yorkshire.
This year see's me joining the 'Our Crafty Place' http://www.ourcraftyplace.co.uk as a tutor offering varied mixed media workshops along with other talented artists and makers. Please take a look, the overall aim is to offer workshops for all levels of skill and to be inclusive for any level of ability.
I will also be offering workshops at 'The Derbyshire Makers' at the Peak Village Rowsley, these workshops are booked either through the The Derbyshire Makers (TDM) website or by visiting the shop. I will list any workshops that I am doing at the TDM on my events page which will redirect you to the appropriate site for booking.
A workshop rota will be posted on my events page in the next couple of weeks - all booking are through my website. Hope to see some of you there. Workshops will be held at Nethergreen House in Bonsall, Derbyshire.

I usually find this is enough for me, making time to make is really important and I am never keen to overdo the events. Balance is the key for me, as family and self care come top of the list.
