About the event
Boro/Sashiko Kinchaku (Drawstring ) Bag
About me: I am a mixed media artist using a variety of mediums. I have incorporated textiles and stitch into my art and find it a very therapeutic outlet. I completed a Fine Art Qualification in 1999. Creating art and stitch has always been interweaved in my life during my working life of 38 years in the NHS. Stitching skills and a range of techniques have been enhanced via a stitching collective where I take part in collaborative work and have opportunities to exhibit in Scarborough and Harrogate.
I love teaching and sharing my skills and helping others gain confidence through creating. By experimenting with embroidery and mixed media textiles, my aim is to inspire and support to enable a creative stitching experience for beginners to the more experienced.
Plenty of individual tuition and guidance is provided as needed.
