Rag Textile

We will be exploring  possibilities to create a piece of stitched art using shindi rags and other bright coloured fabric to produce a organic piece of work.  The assorted matrerials will be placed onto your fabric substrate in an attractive way of your choice before we begin stitching organically.    We will visit colour theory and look at what colours work well together. 

The piece will be ready to take home and use either as a framed piece of art, a book cover or to use in any way you would like.  Rag textile is put together as applique of the materials.  You will also be shown techniques and ways in which you can do this to make the best of your fabrics.   We will stitch with varying threads to create texture, you will have the option of incorporating some tiny bead work into  your piece time permitting.  The workshop is…
